M. Tech in Nanoscience and Technology is a specialized, novel post graduate course initiated in 2008 under the Nano Mission Program of Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. GGSIP University is as one of the few Universities across India to be granted financial assistance by Department of Science & Technology (DST) to start M. Tech in Nanoscience & Technology. This program is geared towards generation of trained manpower in the field of Nanoscience and Technology. The course curriculum for this program was rigorously designed after thorough discussion with the experts. The course incorporates hands on training in lab courses and project work. As an integral part of the curriculum students undergo minor and major projects in Industries/ Universities/ Research organizations in India and abroad. Our program provides necessary skills to students and prepares them for the professional job market and exciting basic and interdisciplinary research careers in science. Many of our students are currently placed in attractive positions in industry and top research institutes in the country as well as abroad.
Admission Criterion:
1. GATE qualified in the relevant discipline with a valid score card of GATE.
OR
2. CET qualified (for Non-GATE) candidates in CET code 149.
Eligibility Conditions:
Minimum 55% or
equivalent in the qualifying examinations: M.Sc.(Physics / Applied Physics /
Electronics Mathematics / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biosciences/ Life Sciences
/ Material Science), B.E./ B.Tech (Electronics / Computer Science / Electrical /
Mechanical / Engineering Physics / Metallurgy / Material Engineering /
Information Technology / Biotechnology / Biomedical / Chemical Engineering or
Technology); or equivalent and Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 or
undergraduate level is a must.
Admission Procedure:

Total number of seats = 15
�
First Counselling: The candidates will be called in
order of merit and the seats are filled according to the seat matrix.
�
Second Counselling: The seats remaining vacant due to
withdrawals or any other reasons will be displayed on the University website.
The candidates who are absent during 1st counselling will also be
permitted to attend the 2nd counselling. If the seats still remain
vacant after two rounds of counselling, the said seats will be offered to the
qualified candidates during the Open House Counselling in order of merit as per
their region. In the event of seats still remaining vacant, the available seats
shall be offered to the qualified candidates in order of merit irrespective of
their region.
